Osteo-conductive and -inductive, malleable fibrous DBM material now available from Surgilogix
2AprSurgiliogix announces its new SXDBMTM Fiber allograft made of 100% demineralized cortical bone with no carrier. 100% demineralized cortical bone, when hydrated with any bioactive agent, creates a malleable fibrous structure for use in bony voids or gaps. It wicks blood, BMA or PRP in minutes and provides an excellent osteo-conductive scaffold and increased osteo-inductive potential.
“Adding the SXDBMTM Fiber allograft to our product line was an easy decision. Our mission is to provide the very best in human allograft technologies to physicians and their patients and when we saw SXDBMTM Fiber we knew we needed to make it available to physicians,” notes Rick Barrow of Surgilogix.
SXDBM’sTM unique fiber technology offers a combination of porous surface structure and bulk fibrous structure – simultaneously providing a porous host for endogenous cells and an attractive protein binding site for cell signaling to promote chemotaxis.
SXDBMTM is indicated for bony voids or gaps from surgery or traumatic injury that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure. It enhances Surgilogix’s current DBM product line which also includes DBM putty, strips and cubes.
